So.. I had a nice conversation today with a board member from SATVA . ( Yes I know we have talked about SATVA , and to this point we still have not joined) An interesting idea was tossed at me .. as well as I have heard some other members mention things along this line. I am simply looking for your thoughts and opinions on this. What was mentioned was simple..... Would we have the means and / or the interest in an ATV park in our area to help the interest in the sport. We already to the drag races, and looking forward to Ziggies new track in the spring . Is it worth us looking into trying to put it all together into a atv type park etc. I know there will be giant hurdles to attempt to jump over (as is with anything) . He will be speaking to the SATVA board to see what they could bring to the table. There are numerious atv parks around (not locally / or in sask for that matter) . They all started somewhere and have slowly built away at it. Big question is. Are we as a group wanting to support / start the ball rolling , or just continue on and hope for the best? I believe that all of us as a group have the mind sets / connections and abilities to start something like this rolling. Your thoughts?

I like the idea of an ATV park in Sask. I just think its gonna be very hard to find the land to do that on. It would be tough to find a chunk of land that can offer everything that a person would want in a park.
After seeing Mud Creeks park down in Texas. its actually a very good set up park. They have i believe between 3-4000 acres to play on. Most of it is trails through the tree. Plus a huge water sand pit. and the normal oval track and mud drags track along with more camping area then anyone could ask for.
The problem down here will be finding something that couyld offer some good trails to ride, Keeping in mind you need some good mud trails for us, along with some nice easy trails for the people that just wanna cruise and not get muddy. Most of the land is eaither farmed or the people r waiting for an oil company to start drilling on it.

A park would be cool, but like said, land would/will be an issue. And as we all know down here, land owners are not willing to give it away. $$$$$$$$$$$ Im content to keep on ripping around in sloughs and prarie trails etc, just would be nice to not have to worry about pissing off land owners, etc. My brother in law recently got planted in some good mud IN THE DITCH along a grid road, and the land owner was there in less than a minute to bitch at us about tearing up his land. We said we werent now, and hadnt been on HIS land, and he promptly took off. That was one of 2 times in the last month or so weve had run ins with land owners. I try to stay off fields when possible, and not rut up private farm land, but when you get shit on for riding through a slough or a damn ditch, it gets annoying. Thats where a dedicated "park", or at least a trail system of some sort would be really nice to have. The snow machine crowd gets proper trails... why couldnt we get somthing similar? TONS of prairie trails around...
Anyways, ive rambled on long enough..lol
